<p><strong>Client Overview:</strong>&nbsp;The B2C multinational Food &amp; Beverage Retail Franchising client is a U.S.-based franchising business specializing in fresh fruit arrangements, combining the concept of a fruit basket with designs inspired by flower arrangement. The company also sells various specialty fruit gift items, such as gift boxes featuring chocolate dipped fruit and fresh fruit products. As of 2012, the client’s business had grown to more than 1,100 stores serving locations in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Italy, Turkey, Hong Kong, Oman, India, and China</p>



<p>The client needed a partner to lead store traffic and brand awareness efforts on the Facebook Advertising channel to drive in-store foot traffic from new customers for 900+ participating stores in the post-COVID lockdown months. As part of the client’s desire to support the local franchisees and to bridge the gap in the advertising calendar between now and the start up of the Q4 push, Galactic Fed came onboard to identify the most viable and cost-effective strategy to boost offline purchases and provide exposure to the participating stores.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy &#8211; Facebook Ads:</strong></p>



<p><em>Total Budget</em>&nbsp;&#8211; $42,000</p>

</ul>



<p>Galactic Fed started uploading the participating store locations under the client’s official Facebook page structure to kickoff. The team also uploaded the client’s past customer lists (purchasers from the last 365 days) for creating lookalike audiences. Additionally, they referred to the customer persona insights provided to them and researched close-competitors to derive potential interest targets.</p>



<p>Galactic Fed focused primarily on the TOFU audiences (High-value Lookalikes from the prospect lists living in the USA, with a confidence affinity of 5%) for the store traffic campaigns. To make the targeting more precise and cost-effective, they narrowed the audience further with relevant interest targeting features. Here is the summary of the final campaign structure:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>10 Store Traffic optimized campaigns focused on 1% LALs primarily (customer lists &#8211; all purchasers) and obtaining stable cost-per store visits (CPSVs).</li>



<li>Narrowed audience with interest targets (buyer personas specific) and followers of relevant competitors:
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Each campaign housed within itself up to 5 ad sets.</li>



<li>Each ad set contained one Store Set and four ads (two single-image formats and two carousel format copies).</li>



<li>Each Store Set contained multiple store locations in the same state, with an automatic radius setting. For example, all Massachusetts locations were part of Store Set A, while all Texas areas were part of Store Set B.</li>



<li>Each ad displayed dynamic fields for the corresponding store address &amp; phone number and allowed users to get directions to the store nearest to them.</li>
</ul>

<p><em>Conversion Tracking</em>&nbsp;&#8211; Galactic Fed relied on the following two methods for performance tracking (indicative):</p>

<li>A unique coupon code was created to track the Facebook Ad campaign performance. This coupon code was included in all the ad copies.</li>



<li>Directly attributed offline purchases were tracked through the sales CRM data, uploaded to the Facebook API once every month.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Performance Results</strong></p>



<p><em>Performance Numbers from the General Campaign (Sep 21 to Oct 11 period):</em>&nbsp;</p>



<p>From Sep 21 to 30, the store traffic Facebook Ads saw confirmed 194 purchases with a conversion value of $13,671.26 at approximately 1.0 ROAS (return on ad spend).</p>



<p>The most in-store purchases occurred in Florida, followed by Texas and California.</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Female users attributed the most purchases (68%).</li>



<li>Most in-store purchases were attributed to iPhone device users (79.4%).</li>



<li>Most in-store purchases occurred on Monday (32%), followed by Tuesday (18%) between 3 &#8211; 7 pm.</li>



<li>The carousel ad creatives captured the most Impressions, Reach, CTRs (click-through-rates), and in-store purchases.</li>
</ul>



<p><strong>Wins:</strong></p>

<li>All the campaigns performed well in general ad engagements for all the targeted locations under generic and custom ad sets.</li>



<li>On average, over 2 Million users saw the ads at least 4.36 times.</li>



<li>Based on the in-store conversions data available for Sept, the campaigns achieved a ROAS of approximately 1.0 ROAS</li>

<p><strong>Client Overview</strong>:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mapleguild.com/">Maple Guild</a>&nbsp;is one of the largest organic Maple Syrup producers in the United States with strong retail relationships sold nation-wide in Walmart. Maple Guild farms, produces, packages, and sells organic Grade-A Vermont maple syrup. Since its inception, they have branched into multiple maple products including vinegar, soft drinks, flavored syrups, butters, creams, and more.</p>



<p>Before Galactic Fed, Maple Guild had never done any paid media or digital marketing outside of building a website. Their website was built in 2018 (approximately one year before contract start) and had less than 100 customers throughout that year purchase directly on their website.</p>



<p>Our goal was to create base metrics to determine the feasibility of scaling paid media efforts. This includes showcasing conversion rates, cost per add to carts/purchases, ROAS, and brand awareness metrics such as ad recall lift and social media following.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy: Google Ads</strong></p>



<p>Our Google Ads strategy consisted of a mix of Search (70% of Budget), Smart Display (10% of Budget), and Smart Shopping (20% of Budget).</p>



<p>Our search campaigns consisted of two types of campaigns on Google:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Brand Campaigns &#8211; Targeting Maple Guild brand queries</li>



<li>Competitor Campaigns &#8211; Targeting queries for other large syrup producers</li>
</ul>



<p>Galactic Fed used Google Shopping Campaigns for generic keywords and SKU related keywords to push for purchase.</p>



<p><strong>Facebook Ads</strong></p>



<p>Facebook Ads budget was split 50 / 50 between Conversion Campaigns (optimizing for Add To Cart due to little data) and Brand Awareness (optimizing for Ad Recall Lift).</p>



<p>During the Holiday season (Black Friday / Christmas), budget switched to 75% conversion and 25% brand awareness leading to timing specific coupons and deals for Maple Guild packaged products.</p>



<p><strong>Landing Page Development</strong></p>



<p>For Maple Guild, top product specific landing pages were created to increase conversion rate to purchase, simplify checkout / decision-making, and lower steps / clicks taken to get individuals to purchase.</p>



<p>Associated with these landing pages were bespoke 10% discounts for immediate purchasers, creating an urgency effect and increasing purchase rates.</p>



<p><strong>Performance Results</strong></p>

<p><strong>Client Overview:</strong></p>



<p>H.V.M.N., a premium San Francisco-based startup with a portfolio of products for daily keto support and overall brain and body optimization teamed with Galactic Fed to increase market share and improve their position in organic search results.</p>



<p>With their rapid growth, the client wanted to ensure that they also take into account the optimization and continuous development of their website. In addition to this, their goal was to increase their visibility and online presence to expand their reach, boost their traffic, and drive real impactful results.</p>



<p>To do this, Galactic Fed strategically laid out a custom SEO plan to meet the client’s expectations. The plan included building high quality, authoritative backlinks via different outreach strategies, extensive Google Best practices technical SEO site audit, on-page optimization, and keyword research-based content strategy to identify content opportunities tailored to HVMN’s buyer’s journey.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy:</strong>&nbsp;Galactic Fed got started by studying the client’s business including their target market, audience, key consumers and their locations, and their overall marketing goals. This allowed the team to align their focus on the most important aspects that needed to be considered to ensure Galactic Fed meets the client’s goals.</p>



<p>Subsequently, the team audited the client’s sitemap and discovered and prioritized optimization opportunities. On-page optimization included the revision of meta description, headings, and page titles to include focus keywords and compel users and increase traffic, as well as UX areas of improvement.</p>



<p>To uncover keyword opportunities for ranking, Galactic Fed conducted thorough keyword research targeting both transactional and informational keywords. The findings were used to come up with an effective content strategy and apply this across all pages within the client’s site including product pages and blog posts. This helped the Galactic Fed team attract the right, target audience and drive relevant organic traffic.</p>



<p>The team also experimented with different email marketing campaigns including blogger outreach, targeted link building where the team focused on the less ranking pages, and build more authority to those, guest posting to target high ranking sites, and forum engagements. These strategies helped social proof HVMN’s brand in their niche and helped contribute to increased brand awareness.</p>



<p>Also, Galactic Fed consistently provided site architecture recommendations to ensure that the client’s site is easy to navigate and to maintain an optimized flow of link value. This helped decrease bounce rates and increase user experience.</p>



<p><strong>Performance Results:</strong>&nbsp;Before engaging with Galactic Fed, the client’s site had some existing technical errors that require optimization. Each of these issues was addressed by the team and solutions were provided to improve the overall experience in the client’s site. They also helped HVMN’s internal team to execute these recommendations correctly that allowed them to better understand the best practices needed to avoid possible Google penalizations or de-ranking factors.</p>



<p>The multiple outreach campaigns launched for this project brought a positive SEO impact increasing the backlink profile of the client by 121%. They built links and partnerships with health and nutrition-related sites as well as bloggers who write mostly on health and wellness. Before the engagement, the client only have 3,949 backlinks pointing to its site. Then, by 11 months, this increased to 8,736 backlinks in total.</p>



<p>Moreover, the site’s organic traffic climbed to 91,482 visitors per month which is a 583% increase from the initial count of 13,403 visitors per month before Galactic Fed was brought in. Reflecting on this impact, the client evidently thrived in their industry and solidified their online presence.</p>



<p>The site’s organic keywords ranking in the top 100 increased by 363%. About 64,438 keywords earned a spot in the top 100 and 9,673 of which appeared in the top 10. This implies that more keywords appear on the first page of search results. This inline with improved user experience resulted in a remarkable increase in organic traffic.</p>



<p>Collectively, the SEO strategy tailored to fit the client’s objectives resulted in enhanced user experience, increased organic traffic and rankings, and long-term internal best practices.</p>
