<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Challenge</h2>



<p>Restorative Botanicals was transitioning from a wholesale model to a direct-to-consumer approach. This shift required an updated online presence to effectively engage with customers and <strong>enhance the shopping experience</strong>. The existing website was cluttered and difficult to navigate, leading to potential customers abandoning their carts and missing out on sales. <p><a href="https://www.everfastfiber.com/">EverFast</a>&nbsp;serves the Kansas City market with fast and reliable fiber internet with strong local support. They’ve been in the game since 1999 and provide connection to over 140,000 residential homes and thousands of businesses in the Kansas City metropolitan area.</p>



<p>Towards the end of 2022, they re-branded and needed urgent creative help with a brand book. Galactic Fed’s Creative Studio was up for the task.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Strategy</h3>



<p>The Galactic Fed team faced two big challenges. First, a tight deadline of just a few weeks to put together the first-ever brandbook from scratch. Second, it was crucial to create synergy with the old logo style to make sure the customers (old and potential) could still recognize the brand.</p>



<p>EverFast is seen as a local company with a strong sense of neighborhood and community. To emphasize this, the Galactic Fed team preserved the already-familiar tone of voice and style, showcasing the brand as approachable, trustworthy, and reliable.&nbsp;</p>



<p>At the same time, the team recommended adding more contemporary elements, drops of secondary colors, and visual dynamics to underline EverFast’s future-ready approach.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading">The Summary</h3>



<p>A 30-page brand book covers all the key aspects of EverFast’s visual identity and provides guidance for potential use cases.</p>



<p>It consists of:</p>

<li><strong>Imagery, Iconography, and design elements recommendations</strong></li>

<p>With minimal requests for design changes from the client, Galactic Fed was able to deliver the brandbook on time. EverFast is now actively using this brand book for all their marketing efforts.</p>

<p>The team at Ruby Love came to Galactic Fed looking to increase their sales, site traffic, and conversion rate through email marketing and landing pages.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Strategy:&nbsp;</h2>



<p>Galactic Fed started by optimizing Ruby Love’s previous email templates to increase the click-through and conversion rate. They also developed and launched various promotional campaigns to grow sales and keep contacts engaged.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Multiple conversion-optimized landing pages were created for a tailored shopping experience. Automated flows were also developed to capture more sales, nurture new contacts and provide a better user experience. The flows consisted of cart abandonment emails, browse abandonment emails, and welcome emails (customer vs non-customer).&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Success:</h2>



<p>With Galactic Fed’s help, Ruby Love was able to significantly increase site traffic, sales, and revenue in just four months.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>Client Overview</strong>:&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mapleguild.com/">Maple Guild</a>&nbsp;is one of the largest organic Maple Syrup producers in the United States with strong retail relationships sold nation-wide in Walmart. Maple Guild farms, produces, packages, and sells organic Grade-A Vermont maple syrup. Since its inception, they have branched into multiple maple products including vinegar, soft drinks, flavored syrups, butters, creams, and more.</p>



<p>Before Galactic Fed, Maple Guild had never done any paid media or digital marketing outside of building a website. Their website was built in 2018 (approximately one year before contract start) and had less than 100 customers throughout that year purchase directly on their website.</p>



<p>Our goal was to create base metrics to determine the feasibility of scaling paid media efforts. This includes showcasing conversion rates, cost per add to carts/purchases, ROAS, and brand awareness metrics such as ad recall lift and social media following.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy: Google Ads</strong></p>



<p>Our Google Ads strategy consisted of a mix of Search (70% of Budget), Smart Display (10% of Budget), and Smart Shopping (20% of Budget).</p>



<p>Our search campaigns consisted of two types of campaigns on Google:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Brand Campaigns &#8211; Targeting Maple Guild brand queries</li>



<li>Competitor Campaigns &#8211; Targeting queries for other large syrup producers</li>
</ul>



<p>Galactic Fed used Google Shopping Campaigns for generic keywords and SKU related keywords to push for purchase.</p>



<p><strong>Facebook Ads</strong></p>



<p>Facebook Ads budget was split 50 / 50 between Conversion Campaigns (optimizing for Add To Cart due to little data) and Brand Awareness (optimizing for Ad Recall Lift).</p>



<p>During the Holiday season (Black Friday / Christmas), budget switched to 75% conversion and 25% brand awareness leading to timing specific coupons and deals for Maple Guild packaged products.</p>



<p><strong>Landing Page Development</strong></p>



<p>For Maple Guild, top product specific landing pages were created to increase conversion rate to purchase, simplify checkout / decision-making, and lower steps / clicks taken to get individuals to purchase.</p>



<p>Associated with these landing pages were bespoke 10% discounts for immediate purchasers, creating an urgency effect and increasing purchase rates.</p>

<p class=""><strong>Client Overview:</strong>&nbsp;Purpose.Jobs is a marketplace that connects businesses in the Midwest area with high-level talent. In other words, they connect top talent with purpose-driven startups based on values, experience, and culture fit.</p>



<p class="">The goal of the service provided is to acquire both companies (employers) and highly-skilled individuals (talent) via Google Ads in the Midwest area. For example, Ford Motor Company (Detroit Company) might need a software engineer and Purpose.Jobs will have that talent or will recruit that talent through paid ads.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Strategy</strong>: Galactic Fed launched on Google Ads with Search and Display campaigns. Theur Search strategy has been geared towards driving a high-quality score (QS) to compete with large competitor budgets. More specifically, this includes longer tailed keywords that match dynamic headline landing pages and matching headline ad copy.</p>



<p class="">While their Display strategy focuses on remarketing website visitors based on recency. Additionally, the team leveraged Search campaign conversion volume to unlock Smart Display campaigns.</p>



<p class="">Due to lead quality being extremely important to Purpose.Jobs they were able to build a short feedback loop with their CRM to evaluate the lead quality and determine CPMQL. Giving Galacitc Fed better insight on strategy and tactics that produced higher quality leads.</p>



<p class="">After scouring through several resources (competitor spy tools, past campaigns, other ad channels, etc.), Galactic Fed launched several Search campaigns (Brand, Competitor, Category) to drive traffic to the website. Their search campaign structure consisted of single-keyword ad groups (SKAGs) followed by customized expanded-text-ads (ETAs) to test several compliant approved headlines and descriptions.</p>



<p class="">Early on, the team focused on talent-related keywords so they can bring in people finding jobs. However, Galactic Fed realized that they needed to simultaneously utilize keywords that target both talent and employers (people looking to hire) in the Midwest area. To do this, they separated talent and employer keywords from their current account and prioritized keyword research for employer keywords.</p>



<p class="">Still early on in the account, Galactic Fed launched remarketing Display campaigns that targeted users that have previously visited the client’s website. Later on, they launched a Smart Display campaign which basically customized the display ads being shown depending on the user’s profile. Display campaigns leverage responsive-display ads (RDAs).</p>



<p class="">Recently the Galactic Fed revamped their landing pages to improve conversion rates by replacing the old ones while duplicating the existing account assets/structure so they retain the conversion history of the old ones. They’ve already started to see a better user experience in their landing pages which has lead to better conversion rates, and subsequently, driven up QS and lowered CPMQL.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Performance Results:</strong>&nbsp;Since the Galaced Fed team took over and launched their campaigns in the middle of 2019, they’ve been able to deliver the following results while working on a limited budget:</p>

<p><strong>Client Overview:</strong>&nbsp;ChangeRoots: A political platform that works to end toxic partisanship by giving its users power to influence politicians by donating either to them or to their rival candidates based on what politicians stand for.</p>



<p>A new mission that had challenges in driving users to its platform and getting people to become a part of the mission to end toxic partisanship.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy:</strong>&nbsp;When Galactic Fed began with ChangeRoots, the team had a lack of prior customer data and a new ad account, coupled with the complicated process of getting Political Authorization from Facebook to run political ads. This led the Galactic Fed team to begin testing with interest &amp; behavior-based targeting to identify users with political, power, and social activism interests or specific political behaviors. At the ad level, we tested engaging ad copy and ad creative combinations to deliver the message in the best way possible.</p>



<p>Our initial campaign run was to collect email sign-ups as a waiting list before the app launch. Galactic Fed then created app install, as well as landing page-to-app store campaigns to increase overall app installs of the new ChangeRoots app.</p>



<p>Prior to the app launch, Galactic Fed integrated the app with Branch.io tracking &#8211; a mobile growth platform that was used for tracking a user’s journey within the app. Audiences were later expanded into lookalikes following the growth of the custom app audiences.</p>



<p><strong>Lead Gen Campaigns:</strong></p>

<li>Started with traffic campaigns to build awareness of the ChangeRoots mission.</li>



<li>Afterward the Galactic Fed team switched to Conversion campaigns for email submits and tested going to the landing page and Facebook’s Lead Form.</li>

<li>Galactic Fed segmented App Install campaigns by platforms (iOS, Android, and Web (Landing Page to App/Play Stores)</li>



<li>Galactic Fed took learnings from the email submit campaigns as to which interests and behaviors were performing. By far, “Political &amp; Social Issues” performed the best, so we continued to target this interest, along with other political, social and, power interests and behaviors.</li>



<li>Galactic Fed took the list of email submits collected from the previous Lead Gen campaigns and created lookalike audiences from them.</li>



<li>Also, Galactic Fed created lookalike audiences from all of the app installers to run alongside interest-based targeting to broaden our audiences.</li>



<li>Collected over 660 emails in 1.5 months with CPL of $5.</li>



<li>Galactic Fed consistently delivered app installs at an overall CPI of under $3.50.</li>
</ul>
