<p>The team at Farmstead came to Galactic Fed looking to improve their authority and online visibility through a tailored SEO strategy.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Strategy:&nbsp;</h2>



<p>Galactic Fed started by conducting a one-time Google Best Practices SEO Site Audit to identify any site issues and implement required changes.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The team then conducted extensive keyword research for Farmstead. They focused on online grocery and grocery delivery but also incorporated lifestyle topics related to food such as meal ideas, recipes, different diet types, and home organization.&nbsp;</p>



<p>After conducting research, Galactic Fed helped Farmstead identify top keywords to describe their service and use in their content. They identified opportunities for improvement of Farmstead’s existing web pages and ideas for new web pages and content.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Galactic Fed also focused on link-building on Farmstead’s home page. They used guest posting and reached out to prospects in the lifestyle and technology industry to create relevant backlinks.&nbsp;</p>

<p class=""><strong>Client Overview:</strong>&nbsp;The fin-tech client was in need of an agency to manage their Google Universal App Campaigns (UACs) and Apple Search Ads (ASA) while they looked to source these responsibilities internally. Galactic Fed was brought on to bridge this gap with the goal of decreasing CAC while scaling spend.</p>



<p class="">In addition, the agency also took on the responsibility of launching their Google Ads Search &amp; Display Campaign with the release of their new web application. While the relationship was expected to be temporary and last for 1-2 months, the team at Galactic Fed continually exceeded performance expectations, and the project ran close to a total of 9-months before being handed off to their internal team members.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Strategy:</strong></p>



<p class=""><strong>Universal App Campaigns (UACs)</strong></p>



<p class="">With very few levers to pull to increase performance in UACs, the strategy focused heavily on cycling in creative assets (text, images, videos, HTML5) while also adjusting Target CPA bid in minor increments. Being a Machine Learning campaign type, it was essential to avoid making several small changes to the campaigns as this would make the campaign recalibrate and enter into a brief learning phase, hindering performance. With this insight, Galactic Fed created testing campaigns to avoid changes in their main Evergreen campaign.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Google Search + Display</strong></p>



<p class="">The primary focus was to launch Search + Display Campaigns with the release of the client’s web application. Galactic Fed leveraged several resources such as competitor research, past search campaigns, and other paid channel insights to understand specifics to avoid and areas to further exploit. Due to an initial six-figure first month budget, they focused on casting a wide net to accelerate learnings of what works / what doesn’t work.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Apple Search Ads (ASA)</strong></p>



<p class="">Having a significant overlap with Google Search Campaigns, Galactic Fed were able to utilize the majority of the insights from those to refine the current ASA Campaigns. The strategy included simplifying the account structure to allow for more control over the keyword CPT bids, accelerate testing new keywords, and creative set testing &#8211; while saving a lot of time in the high-touch point interface.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Execution</strong>:</p>



<p class=""><strong>Universal App Campaigns (UACs)</strong></p>



<p class="">Heavily focused on creative, Galactic Fed devised a dual-threat campaign testing system to accelerate creative learnings and rotate the highest performing creative into the main Evergreen campaigns. Additionally, Galactic Fed leveraged their network of design resources to produce several high-quality videos and images that passed compliance approval.</p>



<p class="">As for evaluating creative asset performance, the Galactic Fed team was fortunate to have a direct Google UAC fin-tech rep that requested the Google measurement team to build a Google Data Studio dashboard to showcase creative performance. With the help of this dashboard and a pivot table, the Galactic Fed team were able to discover creative assets that produced low impressions, declining CTR, and reduced spend. Subsequently removing them from the campaign and add in new creative, or vice versa, taking the high-performing creative from the testing campaign and moving to the main Evergreen campaign.</p>



<p class="">Furthermore, Galactic Fed systematized their creative learnings in a spreadsheet as the team rotated creative to keep track of the assets’ qualitative features. This system was essential in performing monthly qualitative analyses of their learnings that were shared with the client.</p>



<p class="">Apart from cycling creative, Galactic Fed also carefully adjusted Target Bid (tCPA) in minor increments to avoid drastic performance shifts and to help decrease CAC.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Google Search + Display</strong></p>



<p class="">After scouring through several resources (competitor spy tools, past campaigns, other ad channels), Galactic Fed cast a wide net of attack with 30+ search campaigns (Brand, Competitor, Category) to drive traffic to the new web application. Their search campaign structure consisted of SKAGs (BMM + Exact) followed by two ETAs and one RSA per ad group to test the several compliant approved headlines and descriptions.</p>



<p class="">Early on, Galactic Fed focused on reducing their wide cast net (i.e., finding what didn’t work) as the team paused keywords, added negative keywords, ad copy, ad extensions, and landing pages. This strategy helped accelerate the learning process as it was a priority to reasonably scale spend as fast as possible. It took the team about four weeks for their initial major tests to surface clear winners / losers.</p>



<p class="">They then double-downed on winning campaigns by rotating through automated bidding strategies and winning keywords by driving up search impression share. Within six weeks of launching, Galactic Fed were able to scale spend to six-figures per month.</p>



<p class="">After receiving confirmation that UACs did not compete with mobile-web search campaigns, they had a significant breakthrough in performance on mobile-web campaigns as they produced half the CAC of the computer device search campaigns. Serving on mobile-web allowed them to increase spend even more as Galactic Fed hit a six-figure spend in just one week. Apart from this, they executed several weekly and bi-weekly analyses such as mining the search terms report, device / location / ad schedule / keyword bid adjustments based on performance, and new ad copy / ad extensions.</p>



<p class="">As for Display, Galactic Fed launched a remarketing campaign, segmenting individuals based on website recency and viewed content. After hitting enough conversions from Display Remarketing, they launched a Smart Display Campaign that ended up producing a similar CPL to the Category Search Campaigns.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Apple Search Ads (ASA)</strong></p>



<p class="">The first order of business was to restructure the campaigns into ASA’s best practice campaign structure (Brand, Competitor, Category, Discovery). Inside these campaigns, Galactic Fed used SKAGs with the primary intent to set creative testing at a keyword level and control targeting options within ad group settings.</p>



<p class="">One limitation of ASA is that it only shows cost-per-install (CPI), not down-funnel KPIs (e.g., CAC). They needed a solution to this problem. With the help of exported MMP data, exported ASA data, and internal search volume data, provided by the two ASA reps, they were able to create a framework to join all three data sets. Subsequently, this allowed them to determine CAC at the keyword level. This newly devised bidding strategy allowed Galactic Fed to increase their spend on ideal CPA keywords and pause / lower CPT bids on poor performing keywords.</p>



<p class="">Apart from weekly CPT bid adjustments, the other primary driver of performance in the account was adding new keywords. Galactic Fed derived new keywords from mining the Search Terms report in their broad-match Discovery Campaign, as well as brought over high-performing keywords from Google Search Campaigns to their Discovery Campaign. Pending the performance of the keyword in the Discovery Campaign, they either moved it to the appropriate exact match campaigns and added as a negative in their Discovery Campaign, or paused the broad-match keyword altogether.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Performance Results:</strong></p>

<p class="">Before partnering together, the client was spending close to six-figures per week on UACs, in-which averaged out over the 9-months, Galactic Fed were able to help scale up spend 68% while decreasing average CAC by 11% and driving an increase in conversion rate (CVR) by 42%.</p>

<p class=""><strong>Google Search + Display</strong></p>



<p class="">Due to not having CAC performance to benchmark from, Galactic Fed’s main highlight was proving out that Google Search + Display Campaigns are a long-term growth channel for the client as the team had a few weeks with over six-figure spend. Furthermore, in search campaigns, they were able to achieve a 15.56% CVR (click to conversions), a 7.17% CTR, and a lower CAC compared to other profitable channels. Lastly, it was recently discovered that these two campaign types are bringing in very high LTV users &#8211; another sign of success.</p>



<p class=""><strong>Apple Search Ads (ASA)</strong></p>



<p class="">Prior to the partnership, the client was spending close to six-figures per week on UACs, in-which averaged out over the 5-months, they were able to help scale up spend 52% while maintaining CPA. Also, the Galactic Fed team were able to have a significant break-through in CAC performance by using a LAT-ON install calculator to find a new audience segment that produced a CAC 50% less than the average of all the other campaigns.</p>

<p>Our client, an all-in-one expense management platform for global companies, approached Galactic Fed for help with boosting new registrations using paid media.&nbsp;</p>



<p>This fintech startup offers international financing solutions for businesses that span the globe. The client’s goal was to launch aggressively and harness the power of paid advertising growth strategies.&nbsp;</p>



<p>The Galactic Fed team created a strategy for Facebook Lead Generation ads and quickly expanded their efforts to include more markets because of positive campaign results. Not long after, the team added LinkedIn Lead Generation ads to the mix thanks to Galactic Fed’s success with Facebook.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Strategy:</h2>



<p>Galactic Fed’s strategy for this client was to launch Facebook ads to identify growth opportunities, bring in qualified leads, and then expand advertising to other platforms. Ultimately, Galactic Fed performed daily optimizations that turned their big strategy into a winning approach for the client.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Facebook and LinkedIn required different approaches for lead generation. Galactic Fed first launched a client campaign using Facebook Lead Generation campaigns with carousel and slideshow ads mainly targeted to Mexican audiences. As the ads began to achieve positive results, paid ad specialists expanded their efforts to other markets, such as the UK, Europe, and Canada. Because of positive campaign performance across Facebook ads, Galactic Fed applied its learnings to build strong LinkedIn lead generation campaigns.&nbsp;</p>



<p>For LinkedIn, the team applied aggressive optimizations and constant audience updates to ensure the client was reaching the most prospective leads. Unlike on Facebook, Galactic Fed specialists discovered that most complete registrations came from Canada, the EU, and the UK, causing them to shift focus away from Mexico on the new platform. And while carousels and slideshows achieved the best results on Facebook, single image ads worked best for LinkedIn audiences. LinkedIn leads were more expensive compared to Facebook, but the quality of leads was competitive, contributing to the overall success of our campaigns.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Thanks to a successful Facebook campaign launch, Galactic Fed was able to quickly gather learnings and create effective strategies across two paid advertising platforms.&nbsp;</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Success:</h2>



<p>Very quickly, Galactic Fed exceeded expectations for the client. The client even had to hire additional team members to manage the incoming qualified leads (a great problem to have).</p>

<p>With its digital presence being one of the key things that sets it apart from the rest, the company teamed up with Galactic Fed to come up with, and execute an SEO strategy tailored to their specific needs and the goals they hope to achieve. This includes high-level content creation strongly driven by a content gameplan that is 100% backed by data and keyword research, white hat link building, and internal link architecture.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The client is a NYC-based tech start-up company with a platform that allows customers to order from and get IV treatments right in their homes.</p>



<p>Their goal is to build and strengthen their presence online prior to the official launch of the platform so they hired Galactic Fed to put together and execute a digital marketing strategy that would kick things off with a bang. Setting up an analytics dashboard to help the team track and understand the growth funnel, keyword research, white hat link building campaigns, technical SEO site audit, UI/UX audit, and internal link architecture are all part of the game plan that Galactic Fed designed to drive relevant organic traffic to the site.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy:</strong></p>



<p>Before the team dove into the core of the program, they spent the first few weeks performing a thorough sweep of the entire sitemap, identifying possible issues that could lead to a Google penalization or de-ranking factor through a complete technical site audit; gaining a deep understanding of the business, to be able to put together comprehensive keyword research; and setting up an analytics dashboard that would be used to inform the team’s decisions on what content is working, what needs to be improved, where to drive links, etc.</p>



<p>Then a complete outreach campaign was set up to build links on highly relevant sites and publish guest posts on high DA sites to increase its visibility online and improve its SEO rankings. <p>H.V.M.N., a premium San Francisco-based startup with a portfolio of products for daily keto support and overall brain and body optimization teamed with Galactic Fed to increase market share and improve their position in organic search results.</p>



<p>With their rapid growth, the client wanted to ensure that they also take into account the optimization and continuous development of their website. In addition to this, their goal was to increase their visibility and online presence to expand their reach, boost their traffic, and drive real impactful results.</p>



<p>To do this, Galactic Fed strategically laid out a custom SEO plan to meet the client’s expectations. The plan included building high quality, authoritative backlinks via different outreach strategies, extensive Google Best practices technical SEO site audit, on-page optimization, and keyword research-based content strategy to identify content opportunities tailored to HVMN’s buyer’s journey.</p>



<p><strong>Strategy:</strong>&nbsp;Galactic Fed got started by studying the client’s business including their target market, audience, key consumers and their locations, and their overall marketing goals. This allowed the team to align their focus on the most important aspects that needed to be considered to ensure Galactic Fed meets the client’s goals.</p>



<p>Subsequently, the team audited the client’s sitemap and discovered and prioritized optimization opportunities. On-page optimization included the revision of meta description, headings, and page titles to include focus keywords and compel users and increase traffic, as well as UX areas of improvement.</p>



<p>To uncover keyword opportunities for ranking, Galactic Fed conducted thorough keyword research targeting both transactional and informational keywords. The findings were used to come up with an effective content strategy and apply this across all pages within the client’s site including product pages and blog posts. This helped the Galactic Fed team attract the right, target audience and drive relevant organic traffic.</p>



<p>The team also experimented with different email marketing campaigns including blogger outreach, targeted link building where the team focused on the less ranking pages, and build more authority to those, guest posting to target high ranking sites, and forum engagements. These strategies helped social proof HVMN’s brand in their niche and helped contribute to increased brand awareness.</p>



<p>Also, Galactic Fed consistently provided site architecture recommendations to ensure that the client’s site is easy to navigate and to maintain an optimized flow of link value. This helped decrease bounce rates and increase user experience.</p>



<p><strong>Performance Results:</strong>&nbsp;Before engaging with Galactic Fed, the client’s site had some existing technical errors that require optimization. Each of these issues was addressed by the team and solutions were provided to improve the overall experience in the client’s site. They also helped HVMN’s internal team to execute these recommendations correctly that allowed them to better understand the best practices needed to avoid possible Google penalizations or de-ranking factors.</p>



<p>The multiple outreach campaigns launched for this project brought a positive SEO impact increasing the backlink profile of the client by 121%. They built links and partnerships with health and nutrition-related sites as well as bloggers who write mostly on health and wellness. Before the engagement, the client only have 3,949 backlinks pointing to its site. Then, by 11 months, this increased to 8,736 backlinks in total.</p>



<p>Moreover, the site’s organic traffic climbed to 91,482 visitors per month which is a 583% increase from the initial count of 13,403 visitors per month before Galactic Fed was brought in. Reflecting on this impact, the client evidently thrived in their industry and solidified their online presence.</p>



<p>The site’s organic keywords ranking in the top 100 increased by 363%. About 64,438 keywords earned a spot in the top 100 and 9,673 of which appeared in the top 10. This implies that more keywords appear on the first page of search results. This inline with improved user experience resulted in a remarkable increase in organic traffic.</p>



<p>Collectively, the SEO strategy tailored to fit the client’s objectives resulted in enhanced user experience, increased organic traffic and rankings, and long-term internal best practices.</p>
